Turn on weather alerts
- Open Settings using the gear.
- Under Alerts, turn on Precipitation Weather Pro feature, Severe weather Weather Pro feature, or both.
- Allow browser notifications in your operating system. Focus or Do Not Disturb can silence them.
Alerts and summaries use your default location, the same place used for the toolbar temperature. Viewing another saved city does not change the notification location. See the location guide to change your default.
Keep your browser running. Alerts depend on source coverage and the browser refreshing the forecast. They do not replace official local emergency alerts.
Schedule a summary
- In Settings → Alerts, set Weather summaries Weather Pro feature to On.
- Enable Morning summary, Evening summary, or both.
- Choose a time for each summary.
The morning summary covers today. The evening summary covers tonight and tomorrow, with rain, temperature, and wind details when available. If a full forecast cannot load, the notification may show Current conditions instead.
Schedules use your device’s local time; weather times inside a summary use the forecast location’s time. Check your schedule in each browser and profile where you use Weather. If summaries do not arrive, see troubleshooting or email [email protected].
Recent notifications
Click the bell in Weather’s lower-left controls to open Recent notifications Weather Pro feature. Expand Forecast details in a summary, or choose Open forecast or Radar. Select a linked warning for warning details. Clear removes the history without turning off alerts.
Notification history is saved in the browser and profile that received it.
